Q-Why do I need a Health Card for each visit at AdvancedMD?

A-The Ministry of Health requires every patient to provide a valid Health Card to be eligible for OHIP services. Patients must provide a valid Health Card for each visit. AdvancedMD will swipe and validate the health card each time you visit. We are unable to accept Verbal Numbers, Photocopies or Expired Health Cards. Please refer to the MOH-LTC website.


Q-Will I have to wait to see a doctor?

A-At AdvancedMD, we offer Walk-In clinic services in addition to our Family Practice, Nursing and Lab Services. The Walk-In Clinic operates on a first-come first-served basis.

Family Practice, Nursing and Laboratory appointments are booked in advance. Lab appointments may be booked same day based on availability.


Q-If I have my own Family Doctor, can I still be seen at the Walk-In Clinic?

A-Walk-In Services are available to all patients who require same-day service. We handle non-life threatening medical issues. Care is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We offer care when your doctor is not available.
